Assisted Move – We’ll help you sell your existing home

What is Assisted Move?

How it works

Ashberry Homes will work with an intermediary management agent (IMA) to sell your current home as quickly as possible – and there are no agency fees to pay.

Let us take on the process of selling your current home, providing you with peace of mind and allowing you to focus on buying the Ashberry home of your dreams.

Find my Home

How does it work?

With Assisted Move, our intermediary management agent (IMA) works with a local estate agent to market your current property. You will of course receive regular updates during this process.

Once a buyer has been found and you’ve accepted an offer for your property, all you need to do is visit your preferred Ashberry development to reserve your dream home.

We’ll make your move trouble-free

1

Starting the process

When you decide to use Assisted Move, the sales advisor at your chosen development will complete the paperwork with you and pass on your contact details and home information to our IMA.

2

Property appraisal

Our IMA will then get in touch with you to arrange a mutually agreeable time for local estate agents to visit and value your home. You will then receive a property appraisal from our IMA.

3

Let us do the work

Once an estate agent has been appointed, your home will be marketed for sale at the price agreed with you. You will receive regular updates throughout the sales process.

4

Buy with Ashberry

When an offer on your current home has been accepted, you are free to visit your chosen Ashberry development to select and reserve the home of your dreams.

We are really impressed with the community work Ashberry are doing with the local primary school.”

Assisted Move FAQs

Do I have to be a first-time buyer to be eligible for Assisted Move?

No. Assisted Move is open to all of our customers, not just first-time buyers.

Is Assisted Move available on all developments and all plots?

Assisted Move is available on selected developments and plots, and these can change over time. Speak to the sales advisor at your preferred development to find out which plots are eligible under the scheme.

How do I sign up?

You can telephone us to apply, or visit the development you’re interested in and our sales advisor will guide you through the application process.

How do you choose an estate agency?

The choice of agency will depend on where you live, but we will organise valuations from two firms, at a time and date to suit you. We will always discuss available options with you.

How do you decide on your final valuation?

The final valuation of your home is based on information provided to us by the two appointed estate agents, including photographs and room measurements. We also take into consideration the price of similar properties for sale, and those recently sold, in your local area.

When can I reserve my Ashberry dream home?

You can go ahead and reserve your gorgeous new Ashberry home when a buyer for your current property has been found and its sale has been agreed.

What happens after I reserve my Ashberry dream home?

After reservation, timings will depend on a number of factors, including build stage, mortgage arrangements and the situation of your buyer (are they in a chain, or chain-free). Rest assured, we will always keep you up to date with the various steps involved in buying your home, exchange and completion deadlines, and of course, your expected move-in date.
